I love that because we usually think peace comes after everything gets figured out. After the answer. After the conversation. After we know how the story ends.
Jesus gives it before any of that.
The gospel reminds us that peace was never meant to depend on a perfectly calm life. The resurrection had already settled the biggest thing, even while the disciples were still afraid behind a locked door.
Maybe peace is less about having all the answers and more about knowing who is with us while we wait for them.
