Maybe they need advice. Maybe they need encouragement. Maybe they just need one person today who doesn’t make things harder.
We have more influence on each other than we realize. A sentence can give someone courage or quietly take it away. A little patience can make someone feel safe. Sometimes the smallest kindness follows a person home.
Scripture tells us to use our words to build people up. I love that because it doesn’t ask us to fix anyone. We’re not anybody’s savior - that position is very much filled.
Jesus meets people with truth, but He never reduces them to their worst moment. That’s grace. To be fully known and still treated like someone worth loving.
Maybe we can leave a little of that behind too.
Not life-changing. Just lighter. More seen. A little more hopeful than before.
